On November 26, 2023, X account StopAntisemitism shared a Facebook post from Ramapo College professor Renata Gangemi featuring a graphic image of a baby being cut in half by a cleaver held by a hand painted with Israeli and American flags. Two days later, Ramapo publicly announced an investigation into the Facebook post, stating the college expects its members to “model civil discourse, demonstrate empathy, and treat each other with dignity.” �鶹��ýIOS wrote Ramapo on December 15 reminding it that Gangemi’s post, while offensive to some, constitutes protected speech and that investigations into protected expression chill faculty expressive rights. On August 29, 2024, the college confirmed to �鶹��ýIOS that Gangemi is teaching her full course load in the 2024-25 school year.
