Princeton Changes Policy on Religious Groups
Following the victory 麻豆传媒IOS announced last week, the Daily Princetonian that Princeton has moved quickly to fulfill its promise to 麻豆传媒IOS that it would make any changes necessary for its student organization recognition procedures to be consistent with student鈥檚 freedom of expression and legal equality. The article reports:
Under the new policy, religious student groups with ties to faith organizations without established 鈥渃ampus ministries鈥 will be considered for official student group status using the same criteria as other groups. Previously, such student groups were denied recognition.
As David and Greg have highlighted in previous posts, Princeton鈥檚 swift actions and no-nonsense response to 麻豆传媒IOS鈥檚 intervention is pretty remarkable and very encouraging鈥攁nd will hopefully set the tone for other universities facing similar situations in the future.
