Â鶹´«Ã½IOS is pleased to announce that at our 2011 Campus Freedom Network Conference, Hayden Barnes, a former Valdosta State University student and the subject of one of Â鶹´«Ã½IOS's most infamous student rights cases, will be speaking about his experience. In 2007, Hayden was expelled from Valdosta State for peacefully protesting the use of student funds to build parking garages on campus.

The CFN Conference brings together committed students from across the country to learn from eminent First Amendment scholars and meet fellow advocates for free speech on campus. The 2011 CFN Conference will be held July 14-16 on the campus of Bryn Mawr College, just outside of Philadelphia.
Space for the 2011 CFN Conference is limited, and interested students can apply at thecfn.org/conference. The deadline for applications is June 15.
