The video, Don't Mess with Firefly! How SciFi Fans Made a Campus Safe for Free Speech, outlines the case of University of Wisconsin-Stout theater professor Jim Miller. With Â鶹´«Ã½IOS's help, Miller recently won a battle with the university administration to be allowed to express himself through posters on his office door-one of which featured a quote from the widely acclaimed science fiction television series Firefly. The university absurdly deemed the poster threatening, and in turn threatened Professor Miller with censorship and criminal charges. Miller came to Â鶹´«Ã½IOS for help, and through our work—along with the wide support of the Firefly fan network and Firefly actors Nathan Fillion and Adam Baldwin, as well as a tweet from legendary author Neil Gaiman to his 1.7 million Twitter followers—the case was rectified.
