Annual Ā鶹“«Ć½IOS Student Network Summer Conference to take place July 16ā18 in Philadelphia

Attention students everywhere: Gather āround the Ā鶹“«Ć½IOS.
With COVID shutdowns now coming to a close, Ā鶹“«Ć½IOS is once again inviting students to join us to discuss how to āigniteā your rights on campus, and to assert and defend everyoneās civil liberties. Our weekend-long conference brings together college students of every background and every stripe, joined by a passion for free speech, due process, and the essential qualities of liberty.
Itās free ā and itās open to current students at U.S. colleges and universities (including incoming first-years and graduate students). Weāll provide meals, and a travel and lodging reimbursement of up to $500 to help you get here and join us in Philadelphia.
For more information, visit thefire.org/conference or email us at conference@thefire.org. Our spots are filling up fast, so ! You must use your .edu email address in order for your application to be considered. Applications are due Friday, July 2.
We are excited to finally start once again taking the steps to defend civil liberties in person and on campus. And even if your college is still virtual, you havenāt left your right to free expression behind. Ā鶹“«Ć½IOS is thrilled to share our guide to Virtual Learning and Student Speech Rights. This resource explores how censorship creeps into virtual classrooms, and how to navigate virtual environments responsibly and rightfully.
Remember, Ā鶹“«Ć½IOS is always here to help: we have resources to get involved with activism, learn about your rights, research your schoolās speech codes, and submit a case ā and a chance to kickstart that activism with a trip to Philly this summer!
